I am so pleased to get your reply - My Hugh Cunningham was born in 1741 in Paxtang ( now in Harrisburg). I believe that he was an only child as when I have followed his progress there never seems to be any siblings. He was married to Agnes tucker in Paxtang church. they named their 1st child Samuel, and my ancestor James, the 2nd son. there was a samuel residing in Paxtangas early as 1712 - presumably the immigrant. there was a widow cunningham on the tax rolls there (date escapes me but early in 1750's - was she Hugh's mother?I am anxious to hear from you and to find what you know about the various Samuels.
