Have seen several posts of the name Marion, Marian, and Marron. Seems each could be female of male persons.

Have a grandfather Marion Arthur Russell 1882-1972 here in Iowa, USA. He went by his middle name though...Art.

Have seen the woman's name of Marron in Scotland.

Grandpa Art also had a daughter named Marian, My aunt.

Wondering if anyone else have been interested or done some research on these names. They so much alike.

Beleive I have ties back to Ayrshire on Russell line bacaues of such common names in my lines here and lines over there in Scotland. Alexander Russell, Francis Russell, Marion Russell, etc. through a Robert Russell. Thrown out of Scotland in 1745 rebellion.

Marion just another clue I guess.

Steven Russell, Iowa USA
