YES, THERE IS A COAT OF ARMS FOR THE BARRERA NAME, IT IS A CASTLE ON RED BACKGROUND WITH 3 FLUR DE LES ON EACH SIDE, ON A SHIELD , THE NAME IS FROM SPAIN AND THEY WERE APPOINTED GUARDS TO THE CASTLE, THE GUARDS WERE THE MOST FORWARD GUARDIANS ON THE WALLS AND THE BARRIERS TO THE ENTRANCE, THERE , DERVIED THE NAME BARRERA ,SPANISH FOR BARRIER

Looking for the background of my father's family name (Ralphael Eugenio Barrera). His father(my grandfather) was born in Cuba on April 16, 1889. His father was from Andalucia and Leone Rosa Poree, mother was from the Canary Islands. I'm looking for my great grandfather and back. Any information would be most appreciated.
