MARTHA SOPRONIA COOK DAUGHTER OF JOHN E. COOK SR. AND CHARITY TURNER COOK MARRIED NEWTON J. BRUNSON .THEY MOVED TO TEXAS .MARTHA WAS A SISTER TO MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER PENELOPE MARIAH COOK.YOU CAN FIND THEM LISTED IN WILL OF JOHN E, COOK SR. OF BAR. CO. AL.ALSO PIKE CO. AL. MARRIAGES.
MAY 10 -1860.
ALSO LISTED IN THE BRUNSON WILL OF NEWTONS PARENTS.

Do you have a Hiram Cook in your records? I have him on the 1860 Barbour County census.

I don't see that name in any of my records, but there were multiple Cook families that were the early pioneers in Barbour and Pike Counties
