Tracing my ancestry in Darbys, Pike County, Alabama;

I have several Pike County, Alabama Obits that record burials in "Hopewell Cemetery", Darbys, Pike County, Alabama in 1881.

Does anyone know where this town is located or what it might be called today?

Darby's was never a town or a place; it was a district.

I believe the following to be correct:

Place: the Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, near Henderson, Pike County, Alabama

Standardized: Henderson, Pike, Alabama, United States

Abbrev:

Latitude: 31° 39' 59.00" N
Longitude: 86° 4' 23.99" W

Do a Google search for Henderson, Alabama; this should lead you to a map.

I appreciate your reply and the information, I will do a quick search on Henderson,

I also found Darby listed on the 1910 Pike County Census as well as several Obituary notices from Pike County, and you are right, it does say District. I am hoping this information will lead us to my families gravesites.
Thanks again.
