I am trying to find out information on my 5th Great Grandfather Capt. Jonathan Kemp. He moved from N.C. to St. George Parish ( now Burke County ) Ga. about 1768? I understand he acquired 100 acres of land on Rocky Creek on Sept. 1771. He met and married my 5th Great Grandmother Sally Patsy Womack there. I understand that he owned two plantations in Georgia, one he sold to John Callahan and the other he sold to Stephen Johnson of Georgia. I would like to know where the plantation was located and see if there are any pictures of them. I also understand that he also owned two plantations in S.C. and another one, maybe, is S.C. also. Does anybody know anything about these plantations. Thanks in advance for any help. Dianne
