Louise Howton, 93, of Princeton, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at 12:30 a.m. at Princeton Health and Rehab, following a long illness.
A retiree from Arvin Industries, she was born Dec. 3, 1915, in Caldwell County, a daughter of the late Millard Jim and Hailey Capps Milton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin Elwood Howton; two brothers, Oscar Milton and Arthur Milton; a sister, Lilly Grubbs; and two grandchildren, Larry Eugene Howton and Kimberly Howton.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Darriell Howton of Madisonville, and Harold Douglas Howton of Little Rock Ark.; two daughters, Shelby Joyce Hobby of Princeton, and Hilda Herron of Madisonville; five grandchildren, Pamela Lynn Quigley, Woody Howton, Marlene Frazier, Jackie Cranor and David Herron; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Ella Mae Melton of Providence; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Donald Bunch officiating.
Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
