Thanks for your response. I just discovered it. Yes, Grandpa Ewing's Katie was Katherine Ewing Klein Dutle. She was married to Aloyious Klein for a few short years before he died of TB or consumption, as they called it. She then married John Dutle, my gr grandfather and they had 8 children including my Paternal grand mother Elizabeth. This was really tricky because she was married once before gr grandpa. Non eof the present family was aware of it. I spent months plowing through the Catholic records written Latin to find it. I have access to the records at the Kenton Co Library and spent many evenings there. I felt like I discovered gold when I finally figured it out. I never knew Grandma Kate, but by that time I felt I did. Unfortunalely she died of colon cancer according to her death certificate in 1908. My grandmother Elizabeth, was the oldest and 18 yrs old at the time. My grandmother also said Kate's sister Lizzie was a premie and weight only 2 or 3 lbs at birth. She later moved to california.How I wish I had gotten interest in all this when she was here with us!
