David Doyle Bailey, age 69, of Litt Carr, KY, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Medical Center. Born at Sassafras, KY, he was the son of Troy Bailey and Kermit Boggs Bailey. He was retired from the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife- Ada Combs Bailey; 3 Sons- Ricky (Marita) Bailey, Donald (Dina) Bailey and David Bailey Jr.; 1 Daughter- Lisa Bailey; Sister-Nadine (Glenn) Johnson; Brothers- Troy (Malvery) Bailey Jr. and Lowell Ray Bailey; 12 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents- Troy and Kermit Bailey; 2 Brothers- Burke Bailey and Roscoe Bailey; Sister- Jean Blair; Sister-in-law- Phyllis Bailey.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Robby Haynes and Kevin Collins officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted Hindman Chapter 171 of the DAV. Visitation will be held Friday after 6:00 PM with additional services at 7:00 PM.
