I don't know it you are still following this, but I have a copy of a marriage bond for an "Armesia Meads", taken out by John J. Hodges and Wilson Bailey in 1847. They are also listed as the first entries in the family Bible. They had three children, John Joseph, James Claudious, and Virginius Leonidus. I have indications that the first John J. died in the yellow fever epidemic of 1855 in Deep Creek. I'm descended from James Claudious.
