JOSEPH EDWARD PLASSE JR. was born Oct. 3, 1943 at Boston, MA to Joseph Sr. and Eileen (Toland) PLASSE. He married Carole Gimeson on December 30, 1988 in Honolulu, HI, and died Monday April 17 at his home in Checotah. Memorial services were April 21 in the Kelley Memorial Chapel of Black's Funeral Home followed by burial at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Maylyn and Michael Small of Canyon County, CA; a son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Lisa PLASSE III of Tallahassee, FL; a sister Linda Ortega of Eufaula; father and step-mother, Edward J. and Marlene Plass of Checotah; five stepdaughters, Karen Cherbinko and Sandra Freitag both of Tinley Park, IL; Denise Weber of Kelso, WA; Mindy Davis of Bella Vista, CA; and Melinda Zeidman of Jacksonville, FL.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He had no "step" daughters! Maylin, Melinda, Danise,and Mendi were his daughters. He was an amazing man. He died UNAFRAID!!! Taught us much, feared nothing.
