General Fishburne was William Fishburne, born Sept. 12, 1760 in South Carolina, son of the second William and his wife,Ann; married @ 1783 Sara Snipes. She was daughter of Major William Clay Snipes and Catherine Sanders. Sara was born Feb. 1, 1764, died Feb. 23, 1804. Fishburne then married Mary Clay Snipes Feb. 19, 1805. She was the sister of Sara. He lived in Molcenia near Round O, S.C., a plantation of three to four thousand acres.
