I am looking for any information regarding the Strains that lived in the Dorchester or Colleton County area during the 1700s and early 1800s. I know that a David Strain willed a plantation near Beech Hill and another near Orchard Swamp to his sons in 1772. Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
