So that would make your grandmother born ca 1900... I dont know much about the Padgetts during the 1900s because my family moved from Barnwell area to Augusta Ga to work in the Cotton mills.

She married my Granfather Walter Connelly..
The Cemetery is Pinelele at the Pinelele Baptist Church.
My family and I are going down there the end of october and see what we can find.I was lucky enough this past weekend to find some older kin folks still alive and get some information pictures and a letter from 1936.

I cemetary that I found last night online spelled Peniel Baptist Church.
The letter that I have spells it Penelele so until we get there next month (October)There may be 2 of them

Our GGrandfather was Johm DuBois and our GGRanndmother was Elizabeth Padgett, There children Born May 1894 Nora DuBois Connelly, Hayward, Frank, Ena were all from the walterboro area

James woodrow,Wilbur Rudolph (MY Father) and Dorthy..

I have found my grandmothers birth certifirate..She was born in Islandton Broxton township. Nora Carmen DuBois Mother and Father John F DuBois and Elizabeth E Padgett.. Hattie was my Grandmothers Aunt
The grave yard is Peniel Baptist cemetary..

At Penial Baptist cemetery John Frank DuBois and Elizabeth C Padgett b 1878 d 1918 , Children Albert Thomas b 7/8/1800 d 3/9/1900,Lotcha (daughter)b6/22/1905 d 9/23/ 1905,Leola (daughter) b7/18/1902 d 5/3/1903 Luther Manor b 5/16/1910 d 2/22/1911, Miley Zander b 8/28/1906 d 10/7/1909. Our grandmother Nora Carmen Padgett DuBois b 5/8/1894 d 9/1983. we believe they had 2 more children Frank and Hayward. He remarried elizabeths 1st cousin Hattie V Padgett we believe they had Johnny Carl Wanda Monroe Ena Clara
That would make your mother clara our grandmothers sister so we are related.
We live in Tennessee and came down this weekend to do research and we have found alot
