Sorry I do not have any info that might help you. Your Jesse is the right age to be a brother or cousin of my James but that is there generation I am searching. My best lead are the descendants of
Isham WALKER born 1730 in
Colleton county SC. The two oldest sons of
Isham are
Littleberry and
Isham are well documented in the Wiregrass
Ga book and their families do not include your Jesse or my James. The four youngest son,
Ansel b about 1775, Elisha b about 1777, Joel b about 1779 and William b about 1781 all in
Colleton Co SC are not well documented and are my best lead.
The 1850
Jefferson Co Fla census page 14a shows a Jesse
WALKER born about 1800 with a wife elizabeth and 8 children that you describe. There is also a
Berry WALKER born 1812 in SC with a wife Mary A. and 5 childred. Berry appears in other Fla census as LB or
Littleberry. I am guessing that he may be a brother or cousin of my James and possibly your Jesse. According to the Family Search website Littleberry's father is Joel
WALKER and mother is Elizabeth
Carter. I am assuming that this Joel is the son of
Isham b 1730 but have not been able to prove this.
The 1820 and 1830
Colleton Co SC census have some leads but do not answer the key questions.
My Great Grandfather James
WALKER moved from SC to
Jefferson Co Fla between 1828 & 1830 since his second child Nancy was born in Fla on 8/12/1830 and his first child Delilah was born in SC 9/28/1828.
If we can find the wives and children of the four
WALKER brothers, I believe that we would define two more generations of our families.
