Miss Claire,
So good to hear from you again. Thanks for all the wonderful information.
I can remember as a little boy going to the Gruber graveyard and the Bridge graveyard with my Grandmama Weathers (Ruth Fralix). And would also stop in to visit Florrie Mae Creel (nee Bridge) who was my great-grandmama Fralix's (Winnie Weeks) 1st cousin. And Aunt Lurline Weeks (Uncle Heyward's wife) we would stop and see too. The all lived in Grover.
I have some great old pictures of Sebron Weeks - my grandmama siad his name was William Seabron Weeks - but thats not how it is on the tombstone, correct?
Also - he went by Bob Weeks.
Ive not been able to find any death certificate or anything - and no one seems to know for sure about his family. Cousin Florrie Mae said they moved away from the area long time ago (she was way in up age when I was a child, and she is deceased now). She also said that we were kin to the Kogers in the Gruber Cemetery - but I have not been able to prove it - I think I know the link - but thats as far as I can go.
On Warren Weeks, I did find where he was in the South Carolina Cavalry, CSA.
Reckon why - if the one of the parents didnt die until 1918 - would they leave their children with the grandparents - assuming that Warren and Mary Fewox Weeks are the parents I am searching for.
Why didnt they keep better records!! Haha
Thanks again, Miss Claire!!
