seeking info on this African American family. My Grnadmother, Rebecca Simmons b.1918 married Matthew "Mack" Simmons. They had several children including Matthew, William, James Edward, Hezekiah, Lizzie Mae, Richetine "Tina" and Herbert. My Grandfather, Matthew Simmons d.1990 and is buried at Aimwell Presbyterian Church in Neyles, SC.

I'm researching the "Simmons" name also. My ggrandmother was Mollie (surname unknown)was born about 1850 married James Simmons. Mollie had Elizabeth (Lizzie) who was born about 1864. According to the household records, James was Lizzie's stepfather. Mollie and James had the following children: Nellie, Mary, Toby, James and Janie. Lizzie married Robert Goff. They had several children including my grandfather George Goff. Do any of these names sound familiar? If so, please contact me.
