I've hit a brick wall with James Craven. I know that he married Ann Loper in 1810 in Colleton and Ann appears on 1830 Mississippi census with four boys but without James. I cannot find James' parents. His boys are Jenkins, Malden, David, and maybe Richmond. They are all living in either Jones Co. or Jasper Co., MS in 1840. It seems that many of the early Colleton records were distroyed by fire. Can anyone help me make the "breakthrough" connection with James. I am from David C. Craven's line and live in Mississippi. I can possibly help anyone looking for their Miss. Craven family.
