I am seeking information on William James who received a grant of 640 acres along the waters of the little Peedee River in SC. His son, James (Jim) James was born in 1804 believed to be in Marion County, SC. William travled to Alabama and in 1817 was the postmaster in Burnt Corn Springs on the Federal Road.
