if there are any relatives in the sumter, sc area interested in exchanging family info via e-mails, please respond. i have a little info, as well as a few questions that i'd like to discuss. i am a grandson to damon "uncle doc" harrison, aka thomas choice, jr., who was born there in 1897, left around 1919 to live, marry, and work in washington, dc, until his death in 1984. i'd venture to say that there is probably no knowledge concerning this branch of the family that is known by anyone there in sumter. i was almost able to connected with a choice family member there through a previous e-mail, but was not able to follow through successfully. if i'm not mistaken, the last choice family reunions held in sumter were in 1992 and 1994 (i have brochures from those reunions). the family historian, according to the brochure was a relative named shaw whom i was not able to reach. this info substantiated a lot of the family facts that i was able to obtain over a few years.
