Classification: Query
Surnames: Davidson, Davison, Smith, Robinson, Dennis, Suber
I have found a record that a person whose family I am researching was buried in Presbyterian Cemetery in Union. I can find the cemetery listed at findagrave.com with a picture with the following roadside marker sign text:
Presbyterian Cemetery
This cemetery, the oldest in Union, was established ca. 1817 and sometimes called the "village cemetery". In 1818 a Presbyterian "union" church used by other denominations as well moved her from a 1783 site about 2 mi. E. Alexander Macbeth then deeded the cemetery to the elders for use as a "burying ground of a Presbyterian Meeting House".
--- from a roadside marker by the cemetery
I can see that it is accepting burials as recently as 2008; however, I cannot find out where this cemetery is located in Union as, at least by the name Presbyterian Cemetery, it is not listed on any lists of Union county cemeteries.
Can someone help locate this cemetery?
I am looking for the family of William Franklin Davidson (or Davison). His second wife Karen Happuck Dennis (b. abt 1797) is said to be buried there. She married 2nd George Smith. Her daughter Elizabeth Hanna Davidson married Wallace Alexander Robinson and they are also said to be there. A granddaughter Ella Martha Robinson Suber is also said to be buried there.
Can anyone supply information on this family?
thanks
