SIMON ABRAM.
Lufkin, Texas, Sept. 26. - Simon Abram, one of the oldest and best known citizens of Lufkin, Texas, died Monday afternoon at the family residence from an acute attack of indigestion after an illness of but a few days, although his health had not been good for several months. Mr. Abram came to Angelina county directly after the civil war and has been engaged in the mercantile business in this county since 1876. He built one of the first business houses in the town of Lufkin. He leaves a wife and three children: Moxie Abram, Harry Abram and Mrs. Flora Raphael, all of whom reside here. Mr. Abram's remains were interred at the cemetery at Tyler, Rabbi M. Fabor, officiating.
