I have fond memories of Pearl Gardner from the summers I spent there in 1954 and 1955 when I was 10 and 11 respectively.
I what I recall was the "large" guest room, I recall her giving me a dime for every 10 flies that I could swat. (With that I could by a coke & a candy bar!)
I can recall dancing "Put Your Little Foot" out on that porch balcony with some other guests once. And, I always enjoyed a cool dip in the pool. I have a bunch of pictures from those days if ever interested.
BTW, my widowed mother married the Joleta wrangler in the summer of 55, and became my step-father for many years.
