William H. Mahoney was born in 1826 in Henry Co. KY. His family moved to Ripley Co. IN in 1837. He married 1. Lavina Jane Fall, 2. Ellender Ann Prather. He moved to Trimble Co. KY abt 1875. In 1883 he sold his farm to his son Michael giving his address as Bosque, Texas. The last place that I have any record of him and his son of the same name in in the 1910 census for Hutchinson Co. Texas. Does anyone have any information on his death or place of burial? I have a lot of information on his ancestors that I am willing to share.

I was so interested in reading your post from 3 years ago! I have heard that story about William selling his farm to my grandfather, Michael Fall Mahoney, and leaving him to take care of his father's second wife. I was told that there had been a fire in Texas and all of the court records had burned. Supossedly he started another family in Texas. I would be very interested to know any more history that you have I can go back to Dennis and possibly his father named Dennis but them I am at a dead stop.

My GGrandfather was William H. Mahoney. In trying to check what had happened to him in Texas I found out that there had been a fire and all of the records went up in flame. His son Michael Fall was my grandfather and told the same story that you reiterated. Are we "cousins"?
