Mary Wentz Bauer, born December 15, 1856, Schuylkill, PA, was a resident of Warsaw, Wisconsin in 1885. She is the daughter of Conrad and Charlotte Wentz, the patriarch and matriarch of our famiy tree.
The Wentz family of Bayern, Bavaria, Germany migrated across Europe, first to Holland and then to England, coming to America in 1848, settling in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania near the postal towns of Cherry in 1850, Eldredsville in 1860 and Millview in 1870. The family moved from the census township of Forks, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania to Kansas in 1870, homesteading in Mitchell County.
