manuel acevedo was my dads grandpas brother or ancle they were from jerez zacatecas my dads gradpa name was rito acevedo his dads name was marin acevedo rito meet his wife in morenci arizona her name was francisca ramirez she was from ocampo guanajuato mexico they both went back to mexico to zacatecas rito became the presidente in jerez, somebody kill his son and ofcourse his promise vengance so his wife took him to guanajuato to stop the fiud he died there. En mi Arbol de Familia (Family Tree) aparece un Alfredo Acevedo y sus padres. Este Alfredo aparece con una hermana llamada Luz Maria Acevedo. Reconoces el nombre?

My name is Gloriana Gonzalez Acevedo, my mother is Juanita Gonzalez Acevedo daughter of Damacio Acevedo and Carmen Dorado. First let me say that we know absolutely nothing of my grandfathers family. My grandfather's family is from Arroyo de Seco, Zacatecas. I know that my grandfather was born in Texas (My moms birth certificate states that.) Apparently he worked for the railroad and at the age of 24 had a very bad work accident and was paralyzed(Bed written) my grandmother says they went back to Arroyo Seco, Tepetongo, Zacatecas to be with my grandfathers family. I think he was alive for 7 months before he passed away. My mom was only 3 and my uncle (Carlos Acevedo) was about 1 1/2 yrs old. I was told Damacio's father is Monico Acevedo and his mother is Rebecca Ultreras(hope I spelled that right!). My grandmother doesnt remember too much! she told me Damacio had 3 brothers; Jose, Genaro(not sure on spelling), Guadalupe and 1 sister; Petra(the baby). All siblings being Acevedo. I was also told Monico(my great grandfather) had a brother Hilario Acevedo.

Well thats all I know! And I'm not going to lie. I cant find anything. not one thing! Can anyone please provide me with the information that will make sense of this all.

My name is John Acevedo. It looks like we're 2nd cousins (we share the same great-grandparents). My grandfather was Tiburcio Acevedo Reices married to Isidra Rodriguez Martinez. They had 6 children that I know of; Juanito, Paco, Luis, Leonor, Raul, and my father, Armando . My dad married Maria Dalila Roldan. Le escribo desde Reno NV, mi abuela nacio en Mayaguez PR, se llamaba Dhimas Acevedo. Su mama, mi biz-abuela se llamaba Catalina Vazquez nacio tambien en Mayaguez en los alrededores del 1890s. Me llamo mucho la atencion a su posting. La famila Acevedo migro a la Republica Dominicana en la primera cuarta de los 1900's Siendo que mis antecesores fueron Acevedo-Vazquez, estoy muy seguro de que tiene que haber alguna relacion con sus familiares.

I'm lookoing for anyone related to Monica Acevedo. She was my grandmother who was married to Espirion Trevino. Her mother's name was Bernarda who went by the last name of Cantu. My grandmother had a brother named Teofilo and a sister named Eulalia. They all had gone by the name of Cantu in 1910 in Kerr county Texas. I am a little confused as to whether the last name was actually Acevedo or Cantu. Bernarda married a Francisco Olibares in Kerr County in 1910. I can't find them on any other census prior to 1910 or after 1910. Does anyone know anything about this family?

In 1998 I met a Nelson Gonzalez-Acevedo and his wife is an Acevedo-Gonzalez.
They live in Aguada. Here is his work address.

direct tie to my family (Esperanza/San Rafael/Dominguito)

My grandparents were Joaquin Acevedo and Juana Jimenez.
They were married in 1911 and lived many years on the
property that once included the Arecibo Observatory
on Route 625. Many of my mother's cousins still live
in the area. Tony Acevedo works at the Arecibo
Observatory.

I met a Benjamin Lugardo-Acevedo which we believe
is a decendant of my great-grandfather's brother.
I believe he had someone in his family named Facundo.
My paternal great-grandparents were Juan Acevedo and Gregoria Gonzalez
and my great-great-grandparents were Juan Ismael Acevedo and Gregoria Rodriguez.

The family resemblence is unbelievable and his
family land was adjancent to ours, but off Route 489.

My grandfather was a friend since childhood of
Luis Munoz Marin and was very active in politics.
My Uncle Joaquin "Quinto" was also very involved
in politics beginning in the 1950s.

I am drowning in information I receceived during our
family reunion during last Christmas. My grandparents
had over 20 children and we have a very big family.

Benny and DeeDee are in Florida now. I met them at a Puertorican dance in 1995 in Atlanta. I have several Jose Acevedo's on my side of the family and one lives here in Georgia. When I met Benny, I told my husband that Benny reminded me of my mother. The resemblance was very close. My mother's Acevedo-Jimenez from Esperanza and they used to own the farm land which now includes the observatory. I am still trying to find the link between your family and mine. Benny told me that his grandfather and his two brothers stopped speaking to each other. I believe that would have been my great-grandfather. My grandparents were Joquin Acevedo-Gonzalez and Juana Jimenez-Gonzalez. Please let me know if you have any futher information.
