MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Marilyn JoAnne Weig, 74, of Muscatine, died Friday, August 24, 2007, at Lutheran Homes.
Funeral Service will be 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 27, 2007, at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser Street, Muscatine, Iowa. Rev. Sharon Phillips will officiate the service. Committal service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. on Monday, August 27, 2007, at the funeral home.
Marilyn was born on October 12, 1932, in Moscow, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Emma Hahn Bailey. She married Eugene Weig on March 16, 1967, in Muscatine.
She loved riding the city bus to have coffee at Wal-Mart and Hy-Vee.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Johnson of Muscatine, and Rick Weig of Greenville, Illinois; two daughters, Chris Bonnichsen and her husband, Carl, of Letts, and Rhonda Bierman and her husband, Rick, of Muscatine; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Bailey and wife, Marilyn, of LeClaire, and Gary Bailey and wife, Barbara, of Kennewick, Washington; and two sisters, Sandra Lindhorst of Bettendorf, and Paulette Salladay and her husband, Frank, of Cairo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1976, one brother, and five sisters.
