Greetings,

Claus arrived in England and worked as a Sugar Refiner. He married Esther, I don't know her Surname and I haven't found their marriage entry. Esther was born abt 1805 in Dagenham/Ilford, Essex. They had 4 children, Henry William b 1828, John b 1830, Mary Ann b 1832 and Eliza Jane b 1834.

I've found Claus and family in the 1851England Census and they seem to have been a "home from home" with all the overseas workers lodging with them.
From the 1851 British Census - Family is transcribed as Bryan but when you check the original it's Borger.
