Surnames: Bowers, Lee
I am searching Giles Bowers, born about 1747, and his wife Ann Lee. They moved to Prince William Parish, Beaufort District, S. C., but Giles returned to North Carolina to serve in the 10th N. C. Regiment in the Revolution. I do not know that Giles was born in N. C., but it is thought that he was. Ann's relatives are John and Solomon Lee. It appears that the two families came to S. C. from the New Bern area along with other families befoe the Revolution. Giles' son Wilklkiam Buckner Bowers married Mary Christina Rivers. I have written a book on the Rivers family, but I cannot find out the names of Giles' parents. HELP. To add to the confusion, there are two Giles Bowerses. The other Giles is married to Sarah and I have a wealth of information of them, including his will. He surived the war. My Giles was mudered in 1783 by Tories. Heyward Sauls
