I am looking for info on William Washington Cathey. b.16 March 1875 d.23 July 1956. m. 15 July 1899 to Martha (Mattie) Belle Coy at Stewart Co., Tn. He was living in McKinnon, Houston Co. Tn. until his death. They had 9 children. He is listed on pg. 496 of Cathey Family History and Genealogy. Here's where the problem is-- there were two brothers not listed there. One was Harvey, lived in Belleville Il. and Jim (Could be James) lived on Hwy. HH in Hayti Mo. (this was in 1956) Anything on them will be greatly appreciated

I know you posted this so long ago, but I have just started doing family research on my mother's family--Cathey. William Washington was my greatgrandfather, but I have never heard of the brothers. I am really looking for Mike--his father. I recently read that he moved to MO, but I cannot find any proof. How are you related to William? I have been trying to find you. Was my Uncle Paul your father?

Hi, I just read this message and it has been a while sine you posted so I am hoping you will get this. William W. Cathey was my grandfather and yes my dad was Paul. I do have quite a bit of info on the family but I havent been able to verify that Mike acutally went to Missouri however I do know that a sister of his went there and that 2 of his sons James and Harvey were there. I just checked today (Aug. 30) the community part of Ancestry.com and found your post. I do not have any knowledge at all of a Harvey and James. Where they Mike's children by his 3rd marriage? I haven't been able to find when Mike died, moved, etc., but his 3rd wife stayed in TN and lived with a daughter after something happened to Mike. I read in a Houston Co. book that listed taxes that he stopped paying taxes in 1892 (I think), so I assumed he died that year. I knew that on his Civil War pension application that he listed the ages of children who could not have been his and Amanda's. There are just a lot of holes in my information. Maybe you can fill some of them in. I really would like to go to Houston Co
