Do you have specific villages/towns for place of birth for your uncle and for your grandfather? For other relatives, also? How about specific birthdates and places? I have a work-up of Churdziks and Dziaduras with specific info which I would like to try to match-up.

USA
Grandfather, Piotr (Peter) Dziadura
Sons: Alfred (dec), Urban (dec), Ernest
Known brothers: Frank (Can), Stanley (Pol)

I believe grandpa was the oldest and was sent to America to avoid WWI. He went first to Chicago where supposedly an Uncle was a professor at a University there. Later he moved to Kansas City. I believe he was born in 1895 but when he died he was not sure because he had changed his birthyear to get better jobs since he was pretty young. It is my understanding that he was 14 or younger when he came to America.

Pelc is my married name. My husband is also Polish and his name my have been short for Peltz. Name may have been changed when arriving in America. My grandparents are Byra and Chudzicki. My grandmother was Katarzyna Byra and her father was a farmer. I have her church birth/bapt record from Poland. It states her father was a farmer. She was the last of her sisters to arrive on the last boat allowed out of Germany. I found her on Ellis Island entry. She actually traveled with theKobal into the USA. I would have to look up the records again. It has been a long time since I have done this. I do not speak Polish so I have to have someone tras for me.. She had sisters and brothers. Do you have any names of family members?

Hello. I am researching Kobylarz name. This branch came from near Kolbuszowa. In addition, I just had to respond because of two other surnames you mentioned. One of these is Byra. At the present time, I am not certain, but I think I have Drya or Brye ancestors. Also, the name Pelc is interesting. I have a Pelka ancestor. All those surnames come from near Kolbuszowa. With three close matches, this is either extremely coincidental; or there is some match, somehow.

There were many immigrants that came over with the last name of Chudzikiewicz and some cut it down for convenience. I don't know if that is your case or not. However, many of them came through Canada. Our ancestors had this last name and changed it to Chudd. Also, some of the records of the ships were destroyed. Good luck, Judy Chudd

I'm looking for a family. The father was very tall. Close to 7 feet. He had a leather shop or was very interested in leather work. The family had 3 daughters. I believe they were living in the Ivanhoe area in 1975. I cannot remember their name, but would like to get in touch with them again.

Her given name was Zofia and married an Adam Kobylarz and had at least one son Walenty Kobylarz who married an Ewa Stolarz. If we have a possible connect let me know.
fkobylarz@directvinternet.com
Fred
