I've just started doing research on my 'roots' and was looking under my fathere's last name of Clare
(first name was Walter born 11/14/14) and saw your name!
What a shock! I live in New Jersey but was born and raised around Philadelphia. From what I have heard
is that part of my family came from England.
Good luck and would like to exchange info.

I appreciate it is some time since a query was posted ,but have been engaged in my own family research. My wifes maiden name was Clare .She was brought up in Surbiton ,surrey after her parents were bombed out of flat in Lambeth ,London. I have done some research on Clare family , and hve found a line in Lambeth going back to Luvington, somerset in 1841. Incidentally her mother (Surname Smith) came from Westminster. Marion ,my wife has several relatives as well as two brothers carrying the Clare surname. Regards Terence Spencer
