I recently began research on this side of my family. Unfortunately, I have very little information. ie. Adelaide Corp, born Adair Co. Iowa, mid 1800's (daughter was born 10-7-1882.) I came across a death certificate for a Benjamin Franklin Corp,who died in Colfax,Whitman County,Washington State on 28 Jun 1944. He was born on 09 June 1860 at Winterset,Madison County,Iowa. His Father was John Corp born in Ohio, and his Mother was Annie Seeley born in Ohio. His wife was named Phebe E.(Last Unknown) who preceded him in death. His Father"s Full names was John Wesley Corp
born October 30,1826 in Marretta,Washington,Ohio and he died in Iowa during the Civil War. Madison and Adair are next to each other, perhaps this will help you.

Was checking into my files more, and discovered that I also have a Daniel W. Corp who was born in Cortland County,N.Y.
who is on the 1870 census in Belmond,Wright County Iowa.He is with his wife, Bordina, Dau Alice(Who married a Theodore Rankins), and three sons:Henry, John,Chauncey.
Daniekl is age 31 at this time. The three boys are 7, 4, and 1, all born in Iowa. Perhaps this will help.

Thanks again. I was able to find the Iowa census records for the John Wesley Corp you gave me. I found my great-gmother as his daughter, so I guess I found my gg gparents also. I ran out of time at the research center but will try to track these further back to Ohio. Is this "line" in your data base? At one time you mentioned you have most of the Corp lines documented or identified. Can't express how grateful I am for your assistance. After months of no information, it was great to finally make some progress.

My gg-grandfather, Thomas Ellison, married Elizabeth Corp, daughter of Rev. J. S. Corp, on 6 May 1847. She was born in Macksburg, Washington County, Ohio, on 18 Feb 1823.

I know that J. S. and Benjamin are related somehow, but I can't remember exactly how. Brothers?
