I also am a decendent of the Corp Family. Mine came from the Isle of Wight. My Grandfather was Ola Corp. His father was Benjamin Corp and his father was also, Benjamin Corp. My grandfather was born in Ohio. As was my mother who was a Corp. We may somewhere down the line be related. If you are anywhere close to the Isle of Wight would appreciate any information that may be found on my ancestors. Thank You and hope you find your family history also.

To Tammy: My mother Nellie Corp Reed, is sister to Orbe Corp. That makes us first cousin's. My Uncle Orbe and Aunt Clare(deceased) Love them dearly. Were one of my favorite Uncle and Aunt. My husband and I have done some research on the Corp Family. We are in Michigan; Uncle Orbe has our home address. Write or call me or come up and see us.

Hi there.....I know this is a longshot seeing as how your message was posted some time ago, but here goes......I am trying to find the parents of CHARLES CORP (who i believe to be my g,g grandfather) he was born approx 1848 in Shepton Mallet, Somerset he married EMMELINE ALDER and they had 4 children....JOHN BANDS, CHARLES H(my g grandfather) MELITTA and ALBERT....they moved to Canton, Cardiff where they appear on the 1901 census...all apart from JOHN?? I have no idea where he ended up. CHARLES became a shopkeeper/oilman....and Charles H worked for his father in the shop.

I realize your message is old, but I would like to ask about your last few anscestors. I come from David Truman Corp who married an Ottawa Chief's daughter Minokwe who in turn had Ambrose and Angeline. From Ambrose came a whole slew of children. Are you perhaps from this Corp?
Loving regards to any Corp,
Marniekate

Dear Neil,
This may be a long shot, but you could be just the man I'm looking for!
My name is Pat Simpson, and my Maternal grandmother was Florence Mary Corp born in Somerset, [possibly Baltonsborough] in1885. Her father was a farm labourer. At the age of 16 she , her parents and I think two sisters called Ethel and "Lulu" went to London where her Dad worked on the horse drawn trams. She herself went into Service.

I have tried obtaining some record of her birth, but with not much luck so far
My late Uncle Leslie seemed to think that her Dad was a Bridgewater man, and her Mum a Taunton woman. On the 1901 Census there is a Florence from Baltonsborough, but no mention of the other girls names, hence the confusion!.
if you can throw any light on this, I would be really grateful.
With regards
Pat.
