Searching for information on Arena Couch, m. David Shepherd probably early 1840s possibly in Crawford Co., Ark. They moved to Hopkins Co., Tx. where he died before 1850. She then married a B.F. Brooks. She died about 1852 in Hopkins Co., Tx. She and David Shepherd had 3 children, Christopher, Mary Elizabeth (both born Ark.) and Wm. David born Tx. She and B.F.Brooks had one son, B.F., born 1849 in Tx. 1850 U.S.Census gives her birth place as Alabama ca. 1821. Any information would be appreciated.

Daugherty in Kaufman. TX. Ben Jr.and Mary E. had two children emma udora and Sarah Arena. Sarah Arena married George Washington Hargus. My husband James Alfred Hargus is the grandson of George Washington Hargus and Sarah Arena Brooks Hargus.
