My dad was taught by this teacher grades one through eight in Adams Township, Madison County, Indiana in the 1920s. He revered Dutch Creason for teaching him what was important in life. I'm writing about my dad and hope to learn more about this teacher who had such a big influence on him. If you know anything about Dutch, including his real first name, I'd love to hear from you.

I just saw your post while browsing through Adam Township, Madison County, Indiana information on Abraham Adams one of my ggggg-grandfathers.

Dutch Creason was Harold Creason. He was our neighbor on US 36 where it intersects Raider Road/Middletown Road. He and his family lived in a remodeled school house at the intersection, also called College Corner. All of the years I knew him, he was a teacher at Fall Creek Heights School in Madison County. He was teaching up through the 1950s at the same school. He was also the principal of the school.

He was married and he and his wife had two daughters. I believe one is still living in the Mechanicsburg, IN area, but I don't know her married name.

He lived in Fall Creek Township, Henry County, Indiana. I don't know much more about him. mizmac86@aol.com
