I'am not searching for Denis in my tree, but I do have an old rifle with the name Lt. Denis engraved on it. I don't know much about rifles but I do know it's a single shot bolt action, Mauser. It has 1881 on it but I don't know if thats the yr. I was told that it could be 1920. So if anyone has a Lt. Denis that was in the service, maybe we can find the history. Thank you! Claudia
