I am trying to get further information on the parents of John English (married Grace Gallagher) born c1859 brother James (married Julie Ann McKendrick) and sisters Mary Ann (married John Young) and Elizabeth (married Patrick Smyth). There was also another sister, Isabella, who died aged 3. All Baptised in St. Patrick's RC Church in Iskaheen. Parents were John English and Anne (Nancy) Doherty.

I don't know where John Snr is originally from and there are so many Doherty's in the Parish I don't know which family Anne/Nancy belongs to.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi John,

Thanks for replying. Have you seen this page with the Baptisms for Iskaheen?

You might find something on there that will help you with your tree. Bridget Anne English is my grandmother.

Thanks

my grandparents were Hugh & Mary Ann ( nee Moore ) and are buried at Iskaheen. I decorated the grave with seashells from Culmore Point back in the 1970's.Have you seen the 1911 census data published free by the Eire government.
