At www.distantcousin.com they have the 1869
Buffalo City Directory and there are 25 ERNSTs'
listed. One of them is a

Ernst, Philip, lab. h. 415 Seventh.

This could be your Julian Philip ERNST.
Finding him in census (1860) could give your his house
number & or job. Compairing the two could let you know if this Directory listing is him.
Think this is laborer. I don't know what
the h. is with many of the names, could be "house".
I did not go to the first pages of this book to find a guide.

Don't know who's who or how they are related.

I am searching for information on my ancestor Victoria Ernst who was born in Oberachren, Baden, Germany 21 Mar 1826. She emigrated to the US around 1846 and was married to Stephen Huber who emigrated at the same time. They were married 5 July 1846 in Buffalo. My information states that her father was Ignatz Ernst an dmother Theresia Kruetler (Kruetter?) . There could be a connection since the dates are very similar.

My grandfather, Barney Ernst, came from this area. His family came to the states when he was 4 years old, around 1879. Please contact me.

I may know of Alma's family line that Arvil Ernest married. I believe we have the same Arvil. The Alma I am referring to was raised in Cincinnati Ohio by her father and step-mother. I am looking for any info on Arvil's and Alma's children, as to where they got to. My Arvil and Alma Ernest died in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.
