This is very interesdting you can visit my family tree Ancestry.com, my user name Melvina01, to see if there are any matches. My father always told me that his family on his mother's side came from Crockette, Texas. Her name was Sallie Fobbs (Forbes)born Jul 1875. Please let me know if there are any matches. I have hear of Indian ancestry and White ancestry as well.

hope this works-my grandfather was william carroll king.
He lived in Cherokee county also until the 20's when they moved to Houston. His wife was sarah bullock. We have heard tales of Indian blood also but I am not having any luck tracing the mysterious kings. I think William's father 's name was John and he was from Alabama. Booker T. Fobbs and Paul Fobbs both from Shreveport, LA

Their father was Rev. Jonathan Hamilton Fobbs.

The only information I can find for Russell is from www.odcr.com (2 marriage licenses, one of which is my great-grandmother Ida Blue Eye).

The information I started with is from his daughter Hildred's Indian Ancestry Information form for enrollment in the Choctaw Nation.

My family were all Fobbs. I'm not sure who there parents were yet though. (mother died as Elvira Leffall, though)

Hello, I stay in Raleigh NC. And have a lot of Family in Rocky Mount NC and also around The washington DC area. But as far as I know is that my family roots stems out of Waycross GA. My grandfather was name Jack Fobbs who had move from GA to Nc in the early 1920's. Just wondering if anymore Fobbs where still around that area in GA.

Well, I stay in North Carolina. And the best I can trace my family back is in Waycross GA. (Fobbs) That is where my grand father Willie (Jack) Fobbs is from. Hope this help.

My grandfather's name was Isiah Fobb; he had two brothers, Hamp Fobb and Jim Johnson. They all died in Louisiana but I think they came from Texas. My grandfather's parents were Abe and Susan Fobb. If anyone has any info please respond.

Hello,,,my grandmother was Syble Odell Bullock,,her mother was Rhonda "Rhodie" M King,,it is said she named my grandmother middle name Odell after her side,,and the where od Indian decent,,my grand mother had cole blk hair and dark eyes.can you tell me if you have any King's in your line.My grand mother was born in Cherokee Co Texas (north-east Tx)not sure where here mother was from (we dont have any thing on her)

Hello to the Fobbs Family. My name is Jay Rasco And I just recently started my search for family and have discovered that I had a Grandfather who was marrid to a Fobbs. Unfortunatly I don't have a first name for her. His name Was James Wilson and he is the son of Robertus Wilson who was married to Keziah Pitchlynn of the Famous Pitchlynn Family who were Choctaw. James was born ca.1840 place not known. He and his Wife----- Fobbs had 8 children all surnamed Wilson.

In tracing my family history of which I am tracing the Beggs/Wilson ancestry I was told there was a woman who was called "Fatty Fobbs", she was described to me as a heavy set Native American woman who had a bad temper and liked to smoke cigars *S*. Another name that came up was a woman who is supposed to be a relative ( I am assuming they are both from OK) named Reba Fobbs.
