I live in Southern California and my sister Janet lives in Chicago. I was born in 1950 and my sister was born in 1945..

There are tons of Guerins (guerrins) in Arkansas. There was a Joe Guerrin in Southern California (a cousin several times removed) who owned a small tuxedo rental chain in LA he had one or two sons who took over and eventially (I think) sold the chain. Joe died several years ago. He was related in some way to my Grandmother Lula Mae Guerrin-McCarty-LeGette-Fleischmann (yes, she married a lot!).

All this is from memory of little things my grandmother said over the years.

She is 97 or 98 and her memory is failing, so I cannot ask here anymore.

You don't happened to be related to a Henry Guerin, do you? He would probably be a grandfather or great grandfather to you. He moved to California just after the turn of the century. If so, then I can help you. Please let me know.

John Guerin, my great-uncle, lived in San Diego during the 1920's-40's. He was from Northern CA originally. Just thought you might have run into the name while researching.

I do have a John W. Guerin who was born about 1921 in my GEDCOM. The family was living in California at the time, although I'd have to dig through my copies of the census records to see exactly where...is this possibly the one you're seeking?
