You bet I am related to them!!! My gg grandfather was Joseph Lee Hanson who married Martha Parnell Todd, and then my great grandfather was John Warren Hanson who married Nancy Elkins. My granfather was Floyd Hanson.
Does this ring a bell? There is some confusion over who Joseph Lee's father was due to the way the census was done. I really haven't had time to go through alot of the information that I have been given but everytime I have got to look at it I find several mistakes, wrong wives, etc. alot of very wrong information, Joseph died due to typhoid fever after jumping into a creek to save a neighbor man who had fallen in, but also Joseph liked the ladies and had some unaccounted for children floating around. Only one of the ladies that I know of to date took him to court, for child support and was awarded $20.00. I couldn't find the man anywhere buried with our Hanson's in any of the Cemeteries, guess what his little affair ended him up in the Deckard family cemetery!!!! with just a field stone marker, I guess his wife was so mad at him for the affair she put him in their cemetery.

John and Nancy took care of his wife until she died then they moved to Iowa, from there the family is spread out all over.

I know this is an answer from a request made 9 years ago but thought I would take a stab at it. I am related to the Hanson's you are referring to. Mary Jane would have been my ggaunt. Half aunt really. Her mother Margaret was my ggggrandmother. I'm sure you have found what you were looking for in the last nine years but if there is anything you don't have email me and I will see if I have it. It would have to be Mary Jane's side as I am not researching the Hansons.
