I don't know much about Margaret
Hough. I don't know the name of her husband, other than his last name was
Hardin.
A letter from Margaret's granddaughter says her name was pronounced "huff", that Mr. Hardin divorced her, and that he later remarried and is buried at Diball,
Texas. Margaret argued they were not really divorced, because the courthouse where the record was filed burned down. Margaret's mother was Charlotte
Hough (don't know her maiden name), and the family moved to
Texas from the Carolinas right after the Civil War.
Margaret is included in the 1920 US Census living with her son Samuel W. Hardin, who is the head of household. It shows she was born about 1855-1856.
If this seems to be the same Margaret
Hough you're interested in, I'd appreciate it if you would let me know what more you know about the family.
