I am trying to find out where my ancestor, Jacob Hefflefinger, was born in Pennsylvania and to also trace his lineage. He was born either in 1786 (based on the 1850 and 1860 Henry County, VA census) or 1781 (based on transcription of his death record which is online at the Virginia State Library). He married Elizabeth Burgess in Henry County Virginia in 1815. She was the daughter of Davis Burgess and Lucy Pace (daughter of Captain John Pace). Their granddaughter, Elizabeth Anna Hefflefinger, is my great-grandmother. She married Micajah D. Davis of Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

According to Jacob's death record, his father was John and mother was Mary. I found a tax record for John Hefflefingar in Henry County,Virginia from 1800. I haven't been able to find any other information that would help me pinpoint where he was from, when he was born or anything more to trace back his parents or find out anything more about this line of my family.
