Jacob-John Sr.-John Jr. Hipple in PA later OH

My Hipple family relatives are something like this: Johnannes Jacob Hipel (b. bef 1716, Germany - d. ca 1772, PA) m. Anna. They had Henry John. John (1761-1841) m. Ann Dilts (b. ca 1763). They had several (12?) children, including John Jr. John Hipple Jr. (1785, PA - 1857, OH) m. Elizabeth Sherrits (1785, PA - 1853, OH). They had 11 children (all of whom I have names for), including Susannah (b. 1830, PA - 1918, OH). Susannah m. Abraham Gorrell (b. 1828, PA - 1893, OH). They had 4 children, including Susie E. Gorrell (1870, OH -1953, OH), my great grandmother.

My details of early Hipple family history in PA are sketchy. Does your family intersect with any of these people? If so, please contact me. Thank you for your time.

Could you tell me if the senior John Hipple had a son Frederick and if so what year he was born? I am trying to connect to a Hipple line prior to 1820! Many thanks.

The only Frederick Hipple I have that lived to adulthood is the son of John Hipple Jr. (1785-1857). This Frederick was born in 1825 in Bedford Co, PA and was alive in 1850 in Miami County, OH. He married a Sarah Kindel in 1851 in the same county.

The names of John Sr.'s sons are Jacob, John, Henry, Joseph William.

Good luck on your research.

Laura

In reply to J.F. Hipple-was your grandfather James Michael Hipple-born 1898 in PA and died 1967? He had a brother Frederick B. Hipple-born in 1895 in PA. If so I am a distant relative through your great-grandfather-who had a brother James C. Hipple.

a hit!!!!

Just where do you want to begin? Do you have info on your Father and Grandfather? Start there and work back . I can probably help on some. Am trying to go back to Frederick Lee Hipple who died about 1833. Need to find out more about him. That is going back a few great, great, grandfathers! It might be easier if you post your email and I can write direct!

I am also starting a search on Hipple. As a matter of fact my brothers name is Jim Hipple. I am
