Christopher Houston, b. 1744 in Lancaster County, PA;
d. 1837 in Marshall County, TN;
m.1stly 1767 in Statesville NC to Sarah Mitchell b. 1742
m. 2ndly 1825 Elizabeth Simpson in Marshall County, TN.
Private and Captain in North Carolina.
Served in an organization of Minute Men under Captain Richmond Pearson.
Fourth at Battle of Ramsour's Mill where brother James was killed.
He guarded Tories in Forks of Yadkin River, North Carolina on day of Battle of King's Mountain October 17, 1780.

Served in Captain Osbourne's Company during French and Indian War.

James Houston, b. 1747 in Iredell Co, NC; d. 1819 in Mooresville, NC;
m. 1774 to Arseneth Brevard; b. 1755; d. 1843 in Mooresville, NC.
Captain, organized a Company during the Revolution
and as it’s Captain served from 1777 to 1781,
under Colonel Polk and Colonel Francis Loke.
He was severely wounded in the thigh in the Battle of Ramsour's Mill
from which he never fully recovered and drew a pension while he lived.
Captain Houston furnished the only Muster Roll to be found so far,
and is still preserved. Served in North Carolina.

is a 6th gr-g-dau of Samuel and Isabella Sharon Huston, through
their dau, Isabella b. 1744, d.1812, m.1765 to John Clendenin.
