Classification: Obituary
Surnames: Julius, Reeve
I found this in a scrapbook. I am not a relation.
"William Leslie Julius was born July 25, 1875, at State Center, Iowa. While still a small child he moved to Brownville, Iowa. On April 27, 1896, he was married to Bessie Reeve at Osage, Iowa. For the following two or three years they made their home on a farm near Buffalo Center, Iowa, returning to Mitchell county at the end of that time.
In 1920 he moved with his family to a farm at Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, where he remained until 1935, at which time he retired. Since that time he has assisted his son, the Rev. Fred Julius, in his church work at Sunrise, Minnesota, and later at Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, where he resided at the time of his death, October 7, 1939. Death came peacefully following a severe heart attack.
He leaves to mourn his death his wife and five children - Mrs. Mayo (Viva) Newhouse, McIntire, Iowa; Mrs. Paul (Anna) Newhouse, Riceville, Iowa; Mrs. A.G. (Harriet) Lindstrand, Ada, Minnesota; Mrs. Fred (Helen) Wieler, Superior, Wisconsin; and the Rev. Fred Julius, Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. A sister, Mrs. Lida Fish, of North Dakota; also twenty grandchildren. One son and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Burial was in Brownville."
