Two Isaac Kendalls were born in Dunstable MA in 1762 and 1763. One was the son of Temple Kendall and the other was the son of Temple Kendall's uncle, Ebeneezer Kendall. Also, two young men named Isaac Kendall married in 1785. The one who is my ancester married Esther Adams and moved to Vermont. Can anyone help me find out which (if either) of the two Isaacs born in Dunstable was my ancester?

My family-typed records state that Issac Kendall, son of Lt. Temple Kendall and Abigail (Cummings) Kendall, was born January 9, 1762 at Dunstable, Mass. and died August 28, 1830 at Calais, Vermont. Married First Wife (Feb. 10, 1785?) She was the dau. of Ephriam (that's the way it's spelled here) and Thankful Adams, b: 6/3/1760 in Dunstable and died in Calais in 1835. It also states they had ten children, but five died in 1798 and are buried in Short Cem. It does not say where Short Cemetery is located. I hope this helps--and that you see this message after so long. Sorry I can't cite the records, this is just what has been handed down through my family

I'm new to this family history research, but I am far enough along to know I am a direct descendant of Temple Kendall. Lt. Temple had Temple Jr. who had daughter Abigail Kendall who married my great-great-great grandfather, Luther Taylor. They both had short lives. Abigail lived (1800-1848) and Luther lived (1794-1837). The remarkable thing is that any of us who connect to Lt. Temple Kendall connect to his father. Temple Kendall's father John was great-grandfather to Amos Kendall, served in the cabinets of Presidents Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren
