Gertude: My grandfather, John Edward Kilduff, was born 28 Oct 1881, in Camden, NJ. His father was Joseph E. Kilduff, born in Nov 1858, in Maryland, I'm told. His mother was K(C)atherine (Kate) Agnes McCarthy (McCarty?), born 1860 in Maryland. I have no further info on how the family traveled back and forth between NJ and MD. I don't know if your Bridget Kilduff Connell is related to my grandfather's family, but if you have any info on Kilduffs in NJ, it might be a help to me. Thanks.

My Catherine Josephine KILDUFF was born
23 Sep 1834, Roscommon Co. Ireland.
Her obit says she "came to America at the age
of two years with her parents and resided
in Boston until grown to womanhood"
Her father's name was John KILDUFF but I
don't have a mother's name.
Does anything sound familiar?

Kathy:
Do you know if your Catherine Josephine Kilduff had any brothers? I'm interested in Joseph E. Kilduff, said to have been born in November 1858 in Maryland. The dates of birth are far enough apart that he could be a nephew to your Catherine. Joseph was my great grandfather, and married Catherine/Katherine/Kate McCarthy/McCarty ca. 1880. Their first-born was John E. Kilduff, my grandfather. If any of this looks familiar, please let me know. Thanks.

Sorry, this is all the info I have on Catherine
at this time. I'm just getting started researching
this line. There may be a connection later, I'll
keep you posted if I do locate other relatives.
