I am looking for information on Rachel Lamar born around 1916, daughter of William Bert and Florence (Sykes) Lamar. After Florence died when Rachel was a baby, Rachel was raised by her aunt Maggie (Lamar) Madden. In my grandmother, Goldie (Lamar) Lape's obituary (1967), Rachel was listed as Rachel Isbell. Have been unable to find any information.

Hello, I stumbled upon this looking for my family geneology. My name is Rachelle Lamar and I was interested to know where the Lamar family is from. I was told by my grandmother (who married into the Lamar family) that the Lamar family is both french and german. I unfortunately never met my blood grandfather and I'm almost 20 and I really want to find out more about this side of my family.
